NEWTON HOUSE

Ellen Ferguson Our house takes its name from the arguably the most influential scientist of all time and a key figure in the scientific revolution. Students of Newton House are encouraged to become as influential in their time at school as they can be. As a member of Newton House, students are encouraged to discover new knowledge and apply it to the world around them, just as Sir Isaac Newton did centuries ago. Our student members should remember that Sir Isaac Newton did not change physics without the help of others at the time and are encouraged to look for support in others as well as to offer it in return. Newton House members are positive in their outlook, determined in both academics and extracurricular activities and enjoy our success and learn from our defeats as a team. As Head of Newton House, I encourage all our students to believe in themselves in order to better not only the individual but the school community and the wider world in which we live in as well.
