I am excited and honoured to be the new Headteacher of Bloomsbury International School and look forward to working with the parents, teachers, students and owners to build on the great start the school has made and to make it even better.
I arrive in Thailand after spending a year and a half starting an international school in China, five years working in a prestigious Swiss boarding school and a year as Head of Secondary at a school in Dubai, so I have extensive experience in international education. Before that I spent the first twenty years of my career in the UK state sector, so I am also very familiar with the English National Curriculum.
One of my favourite quotes in education is, "It takes a village to raise a child", because it recognises that education is not just the process of sending your child to school, but a partnership involving parents, teachers and the community. It also complements the school motto, "Together we succeed".
Bloomsbury is a community. Our school is still relatively small and we have an excellent team of qualified, motivated and committed staff to enable all our children to achieve and develop life skills. If you combine this with excellent teaching facilities and an ambitious leadership team, Bloomsbury is an excellent place for your child’s education.
I invite you to visit us, talk to anyone in our school and find out for yourself.Martin Leigh
