Year 11 students experimented on the effects of reflection and refraction using light rays

The year 11 students set up experiments to observe the effects of reflection and refraction by using light rays.

They are currently learning that white light is a mixture of colours (ROYGBIV) and that each colour has a different wavelength. This affects the degree to which each colour is refracted. They are also learning about critical angles and how these are demonstrated by optic fibres.
